顺便分享资料,是我的一个美国朋友帮我在阿航官网上找的。其他姐妹如果有资料,也分享在这里呗!比如我一直想看但是找不到的english for cabin crew。{:soso_e121:}
10 Tips on How to be an Emirates Cabin Crew
Since my dream to be a flight attendant started, I've joined forums, read blogs and followed websites that gives instructions and informations regarding the latest cabin crew open days.
There are two airlines that I dream of being a part of, Emirates and Qatar Airways. Their official agency, IPAMS, posts important details such as open day schedules and open day guidelines which are really helpful for Cabin Crew wannabes like me. Here's what I saw from their website about how to be an Emirates Cabin Crew:
Many men and women vying for a slot as Cabin Crew with Emirates Airline wonder, what exactly does Emirates look for in a flight attendant? What qualifications and accomplishments are they are seeking in an individual? Are they suitable for the job at hand?
Well, Emirates Airline and Industrial Personnel and Management Services, Inc. (IPAMS) who has been servicing the manpower requirements of Emirates since 1991 for all categories of air and ground personnel and professionals in the aviation industry, are giving all you Cabin Crew hopefuls 10 helpful tips on how to better prepare yourselves before taking that next step towards a soaring career with Emirates Airline:
1. Go Online. Make sure you secure the Emirates 7-digit Online Reference Number (ORN) through www.emiratesgroupcareers.com.
2. Collect Personal Data. Provide a copy of your resume, educational and employment credentials, and two (2) 2x2 photographs, including a full length photo.
3. Consider Physical Requirements. Flight attendants are to cater to the physical needs of the passengers and must be able to meet them, especially during an emergency situation. Applicants must be 21-35 years old, with good eyesight, and an arm reach of at least 212 centimeters on tiptoes (the minimum a crew member would need to reach emergency gear on any aircraft type). Being physically fit will also help you adjust to the various time zones and flight schedules.
4. Attain Formal Education. You must have at least finished High School or you are in College Level and are fluent in spoken and written English. Additional languages are an asset, but not a requirement.
5. Show Your Personality. The character traits Emirates is looking for are a positive attitude, confidence, flexibility, maturity, and a friendly disposition. Always put a smile on your face.
6. You Care. You must have a genuine passion to help others and to provide quality service. Emirates Airline is famous for their excellent service and their careful attention to the details.
7. You Are Hardworking. You must be resilient and committed to continually perform well, since the job can be very demanding physically, mentally, and emotionally. You need a good sense of discipline and responsibility.
8. Be Open-Minded. You will be dealing with over 100 nationalities and cultures among crew and passengers and would need to be aware and adjust, being sensitive to their beliefs and traditions.
9. Live Abroad. As a crew member of Emirates Airline, you will be based in Dubai. You’ll be provided with company accommodations/living allowance and other required needs, but you must consider the fact that you will be living away from your family, loved ones and friends and must be ready to depart from them. But you should also be ready to make great new friends among the staff and crew, the new faces on every flight, and become part of another family called Emirates.
10. Be Yourself. Though Emirates Airline requires that their service crew have high standards for themselves, they also desire them to be genuine individuals, who are sincere, real people, and are comfortable with who they are so that they can bring out the best in themselves and reflect it towards others.
